Dennis Packer’s Volunteer Fire Station…..

The Del Oro Volunteer Fire Department was scratch-built by Dennis Packer from a black and white photograph of a 1930’s upstate New York station
12-volt wheat lights were used for the lighting the truck bay, 2nd floor candles in the windows and bathroom and the two porch lights; the stairs were made from coffee stir sticks; Emery sandpaper was used for the roof; and a brass pole extends from the ground to the 2nd floor sleeping quarters
While the firemen give away a litter of Dalmatian pups, the Fire Chief is taking a hot bubble bath
